Fen-Tech Incorporated, the Superior, Wisconsin, producer of architectural window shapes, casement and awning windows, Botanica Garden Doors, and window accessories, has signed Larry Czapla's Systems & Components Group to represent the company.  SysCom will service customers in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio.

Larry Czapla states, "It's a natural for our companies to come together."

"Always a good competitor to my previous shapes line, I often wondered about the product range and technology that had been developed by Fen-Tech.  These are guys with a history in vinyl window extrusions.  Getting on board with them will allow both companies to grow, even in our current tough market times."

New Items News

6/15/10 Hygrade Metal has added new items to it's broad base of screen frame and insulated glass components.

Tooling is now complete on SCH516 HLR.  Compatible with Hygrade's standard 5/16" roll formed screen frame, this gives customers the option of eliminating pull tabs and pull rings by creating a full width handle that easily opens the screen.

A new narrow muntin measuring .125" x .610" allows IG fabricators to easily accommodate grids in triple lite IG units.  With window test performance figures creating a demand for triple lite IG's, Hygrade is now prepared to service the market with the new shape.   For more information, contact your SysCom representative or visit www.hygrademetal.com.

6/29/10 LAMATEK Begins Survey Program

Janine Clauss, Fenestration Sales Manager at LAMATEK, emails: "In an interest to hear what our customers had to say about our products and service, we created a customer survey that is sent following the shipment of an order."

Many customers have responded, saying they are motivated to participate to assure that LAMATEK's status of supplying great products and great service will continue.

Do you need motivation to participate?  LAMATEK will show their appreciation by giving a Target $50 Gift Card to one customer on a monthly basis (this is a limited time offer) who participates in the survey.  Only 50 surveys will be entered into the drawing each month, so the odds of winning are one in fifty!

2/25/10 SysCom and CRP Sales Teams Attend Dow Corning Seminar

The sales teams of both SysCom and CRP Sales made the trip to Dow Corning global headquarters in Midland, Michigan for a product and systems seminar recently.

Always an interesting experience, the Dow Corning team is constantly updating products, services and procedures to assure our customers are in the know and up to date.  The sales reps are the front line in delivering the message about the changes, so our time in the seminar was well spent.

Various department and product leaders made presentations to the sales and customer service members who attended.  We broadened our base knowledge of a number of silicone products designed for specific applications.  Additional information about new color options, delivery systems, market changes and price discussions prepared us for "hitting the streets".

The most interesting part of these visits is a trip to the Dow Corning labs.  We usually see our products being tested for applications or compatibility.  The real eye openers are seeing products being developed for applications sold around the world into other markets.

Want to know more about Dow Corning and it's range of products?  Contact your SysCom or CRP Sales representative, or visit www.dowcorning.com.

Want to visit the Dow Corning facility?  Feel free to contact your sales representative to determine available appointment times.
