12/15/08 SysCom Modifies Phone System
SysCom begins modification to it's phone system today. It will now be easier than ever to contact the main offices of Systems & Components Group, LLC. Effective January 5, 2009, contact the SysCom offices by dialing: 1.269.345.6660. This is the new cellular and office number. The Fax number remains unchanged: 1.269.345.6662. Our 800 number, which can't be run through a cellular line, has been disconnected.
11/21/08 Glasslam Begins Air-Tight™ Production

Glasslam N.G.I., Inc. CEO Stephen Howes has announced the official opening of Glasslam's Air-Tight™ insulating glass foam spacer plant in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island.
According to Howes, "In only one year we have built from scratch a plant that is second to none. It has taken others decades to do what we've done. We have the capacity to run hundreds of millions of feet of the finest warm edge foam spacer products in the world. We spared no expense with equipment, and our policy of only installing the world's best delayed us a bit, but it was well worth it. I promise to personally work twice as hard during the next year to become the supplier of choice for the finest possible spacer products. It's not just business, it's a passion now."
The company has begun providing samples and taking orders and plans to sell its products worldwide from the Freeport facility. Additional capacity and locations are also being planned and developed.
Company president Gerhard Reichert states, "Glasslam is in a unique position to take world class technology and lead the way toward providing manufacturers and consumers the energy efficient products needed in the global marketplace. We have put together a team that will focus on superior quality, customer service and
professionalism. It's being done the way it should be done."
Glasslam has announced a ramp up schedule in production that will steadily increase its product line to fill virtually any insulating glass manufacturing requirement. First in the sequence is Air-Tight™ the Generic, soon followed by
Air-Tight™ Smart Edge™ (with a pre-applied hot melt butyl) and Sudden
Impact™ (an IG system providing hurricane impact glass with only two pieces of
glass).

9/8/08 Gerhard Reichert Joins Glasslam

Glasslam N.G.I., Inc. CEO Stephen Howes has announced the appointment of Gerhard Reichert, as President of the company effective September 8, 2008. Mr. Reichert will join Glasslam during a major expansion of its operations servicing the glass fabrication and window industries.
According to Howes, “We are building a world class company, and we are adding world class leadership to our management team. Gerhard has an unmatched background as an inventor, promoter and teacher, and we are thrilled to be bringing him on board.”
Reichert received a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario and was a founder of Edgetech I.G., LTD in 1985. An inventor of Edgetech’s Super Spacer® [a registered trademark of Edgetech I.G., Inc.], he served as the company’s Director of Engineering and Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Reichert is considered an expert in insulating glass technology, holding over 40 industry patents, and has been an author and presenter worldwide at technical events and conferences. He serves on the Board of Directors of
IGMA (Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance) and on the Board of Governors for IGCC (Insulating Glass Certification Council). When asked about accepting the Glasslam position, Reichert stated, “I am delighted to join Steve Howes and his team at Glasslam and to be a part of the development and introduction of so many innovative and dynamic products. This is going to be fun again.”
Reichert, his wife Gayle, and their three teenage children live in Ohio, where they enjoy horses, tennis, soccer and the activities of their local church.

West Deptford, NJ – LAMATEK, Inc, supplier of high performance foam tapes and gaskets for the fenestration markets, introduces a LAMATEK Eco-BlocksTM.
LAMATEK Eco-BlocksTM are a replacement for your conventional rubber or PVC setting blocks that are made from a proprietary post-consumer rubber blend specifically developed for this application.
